Queal Black Bean Brownie Cakes

"Ever tried black bean brownies? They’re sweet and well... chocolatey but very rich in fibres as well. With these brownie bites, you’ll be sure to satisfy your sweet tooth and get in something good and nutritious at the same time. And the best of it all? This recipe can be prepared using only one bowl: easy does it!

For this recipe, we’ve used a so-called flax-egg and Queal STEADY vegan, which makes the recipe fully plant-based. If you want to, you can perfectly make it using a regular egg and Queal STEADY standard as well. "

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 190C or 375F.

  2. If you’re going to prepare this recipe in a vegan way: mix the grounded flaxseeds and the water and let it rest for a couple of minutes.

  3. Rinse your black beans and put them in your food processor. Now add all of the other ingredients including the flaxseeds-mixture or one big egg.

  4. Blend it! Make sure that your mixture is as smooth as possible.

  5. Add a sweetener of your choice if you feel like it.

  6. Slightly grease our muffin tins if necessary and use a spoon to fill them with 1/10th of your batter. Optionally top them with some nuts.

  7. Bake your brownie bites for about 25 minutes.

  8. Let them cool down a bit and take a bite. Yum!
